“Shining For One Thing” is a drama I have been crazy about recently. The setting of time travel in this drama firstly is attractive. Because it is a repeated time travel, the theme is relatively novel and the narrative is relatively clear. Although I couldn’t understand it in the first few episodes, I like it more and more when I continue watching.
The whole drama uses flashback cutting. The plot and emotional(love) lines of the story are linked one by one, and the foreshadowing is also buried a lot. When watching it, I found that everything had traces to follow. It was originally the girl who was protecting the boy, later, it was found that the girl had been silently protected by the boy since childhood by repeated time travel, and opened the story bit by bit in the passage of the cycle.
There are many highlights in this drama and I like them very much. I feel that the director really knows how to create the mood. For example, the boy fell into the tower (this part can be the best), the girl ran with the boy in the rain, and the boy covered up the falling table for the girl, also the “first snow” salute to Korean dramas, which all of these is very impressive and difficult to forget.
